Michaela Kort

Michaela Kort began asking the big questions early. By fourteen, she was already trying to understand why people do what they do, why love hurts, and how to make peace with a mind that never stops turning things over. What started as curiosity became a lifelong practice of self-development — learning, unlearning, and learning again.

Her books grow out of that same restless honesty. They speak to anyone who’s ever felt lost in the noise of expectations, who’s tried to become “better” only to realize that being real matters more. Michaela doesn’t promise quick fixes. She writes about the slow kind of change — the kind that comes from finally listening to yourself.

Off the page, she’s quiet, observant, and usually accompanied by a cat or two. They remind her that presence is a lesson best learned with paws on your lap and nowhere else to be.

As a retired physics professor, I don’t usually read self-help books. Most feel unanchored to reality. The Inner Child Reset was a refreshing change — concise, well-organized, and genuinely logical. The author approaches emotional healing as a careful experiment: defining the idea, testing it, and paying close attention to what unfolds.

I found this to be comforting and sincere, written in a way that feels personal and understanding. The ideas are simple yet powerful, encouraging you to look inward with kindness. It doesn’t rush the process but gently guides you toward healing and self-awareness, leaving you feeling lighter, seen, and more at peace with yourself.

As I picked up this book, I had really low expectations. Under 100 pages, I wasn't very optimistic. I'm so happy to say that not only did I enjoy the book, but the author's 5 day method for healing your inner child without traumatizing yourself in the process. I found the book to be very insightful and informative. Anyone interested in having better relationships, confidence, and a better life overall..you might want to start with this book.
